(Tony's 1969 Camaro)
Like Tony's 65 Chevelle, this 1969 SS Camaro needed a lot of work. Tony saw potential
in this 69 small block with a Muncie 4 speed Chevy pony car. In the pictures below, you will see
how a great restoration is performed, that started with car in the above picture.
|
|
Deconstruction started with cleaning out the engine bay ... totally. Notice in the right photo
that there is an automatic trans attached to the engine; that is now gone and replaced by a
Muncie 4-speed.
| |
Engine bay all cleaned up and painted with new suspension parts installed.
| |
Both rear quarter panels were replaced as well as both front fenders.
| |
Body sheet metal was sanded/smoothed, primed, and a guide coats applied
to get the body as straight as possible.
| |
Tony sprays his own top coat. Body is straighter than original
and with a great color. It was a great day for painting.
| |
Motor was installed with the Muncie 4-speed and with a clutch
conversion.
| |
Painting is finished. This is how it looked after
applying the factory racing stripes
and mounting the mags. Waiting on a rear window.
It is all about the journey for Tony ... He does
great work with special cars ~Bob
